Our Story

In late 2022, two friends, James and Victor, decided to embark on an exciting journey by starting a meadery with the mission of introducing the remarkable craft of mead to the Australian market. Their passion for mead began years earlier, initially as a hobby shared among friends and enjoyed during gatherings for their Viking re-enactment club, “Hammer of Thegn.” Over time, the positive feedback they received and the growing number of people asking where they could purchase their mead inspired them to turn their hobby into a business. Responding to the enthusiasm of mead lovers, they founded Mjolnir Mead Co. Today, they are dedicated to sourcing ingredients as locally as possible, with their honey carefully procured from the Southern Highlands region. Their commitment remains steadfast: to use only the highest quality ingredients in every batch they produce.
